Our Commitment
We are committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all people, regardless of ability. We strive to make our website and the websites we build for clients as accessible and inclusive as possible.
Conformance Status
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, the internationally recognised standard for web accessibility.
This website has been designed and developed with accessibility in mind, including:
- Semantic HTML structure for screen readers
- Full keyboard navigation support
- Sufficient colour contrast (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text)
- Text alternatives for all non-text content
- Resizable text up to 200% without loss of functionality
- Clear and consistent navigation and headings
- Properly labelled forms with error identification
- Visible focus indicators for interactive elements
Technical Specifications
Our accessibility features rely on the following technologies:
- HTML5
- CSS3
- JavaScript (used with progressive enhancement)
- WAI-ARIA attributes where appropriate
Assessment Methods
We regularly evaluate accessibility through:
- Automated testing tools (Google Lighthouse, axe DevTools)
- Manual testing (keyboard navigation, screen reader testing with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver)
- User feedback and real-world testing
Known Limitations
While we work hard to achieve high accessibility standards, some limitations may exist:
- Third-party content or embedded media (where outside our direct control)
- Older PDF documents or downloadable files
- Some complex interactive elements (we provide alternatives where possible)
We are actively working to address these limitations.
Client Websites
All websites we build and manage for clients are developed with accessibility as a core principle. We aim for a minimum Google Lighthouse Accessibility score of 95+ and full WCAG 2.2 AA conformance where technically feasible. This includes proper heading structure, alt text, accessible forms, colour contrast, and mobile responsiveness.
